Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of the wavestripe.app diagnostic subscription (the “Service”) provided by Codestripes LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, completing checkout, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. You agree to provide accurate billing information and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. The Service

wavestripe.app is a browser-based diagnostic tool for the Fisker Ocean vehicle, operated as a subscription. The features included in each plan are described on the pricing page. The Service includes:

  • diagnostic trouble code (DTC) reading and clearing across the vehicle’s ECUs;
  • live data display for high-voltage battery, drive units, thermal management and ADAS sensors;
  • safe service routines (coolant bleeds, brake bleeds, parking-brake service, calibration resets, sensor learns);
  • AI-assisted explanation of DTCs, ECU responses and observed data;
  • vehicle history (scan reports, routine outcomes, audit log) tied to your account.

wavestripe.app is an independent diagnostic tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to Fisker Inc. or any successor entity. Vehicle and brand names are the property of their respective owners.

We may update, improve, or modify the Service from time to time; material changes that reduce functionality will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance.

3. Vehicle safety and acceptable use

Vehicle diagnostics is inherently sensitive. By using the Service you acknowledge that you are responsible for the vehicle and for any changes made through the Service. You agree to:

  • operate the Service only on a vehicle you own or have explicit permission from the owner to service;
  • follow on-screen safety prompts and confirm each write operation before it is sent to the vehicle;
  • not attempt to circumvent the safety stack, including but not limited to the four independent gates that block writeVIN and warn-tier writes (UI tier filter, supervisor regex, server gate, byte-level block);
  • not use the Service to modify vehicle identification, odometer, security access (SecOC), or emissions-related parameters where prohibited by law.

We do not warrant that any service routine is appropriate for your specific vehicle, software version, or operating conditions. Diagnostic and service decisions are made at your own risk.

4. Subscriptions, billing and renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on the plan you choose. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may include applicable taxes.

Payment processor. Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Limited. Subscriptions are billed in US dollars regardless of your country; your card issuer applies any local-currency conversion at the rate they publish at the time of each charge. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we will retry per Stripe’s standard schedule and notify you by email. The subscription may be suspended or cancelled if payment cannot be collected.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or via our contact form. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not pro-rate charges for the unused portion of a billing period except where required by the refund policy or applicable law.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our refund policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law or regulation;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent;
  • upload or transmit malware, spam, or any content that infringes the rights of others;
  • share account credentials with anyone outside your household or workshop.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, content, and trademarks, is owned by Codestripes LLC or its licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for the duration of your active subscription. You retain ownership of any data you upload to the Service (such as vehicle scan results and notes).

9. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).

Vehicle damage disclaimer. You acknowledge that diagnostic tools can interact with safety-critical vehicle systems. Codestripes LLC is not liable for any damage to the vehicle, injury to persons, or other loss resulting from the use of the Service beyond the cap stated in this section, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.

10. Termination

You may terminate these Terms at any time by cancelling your subscription and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, the licence granted to you ends and you must stop using the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Codestripes LLC agree that the state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence (including EU and UK consumer rights, which remain available to consumers resident in those jurisdictions).
